FAQS

Below are a number of Frequently Asked Questions about the event –

How to get there –  Littledown Centre, Chaseside, BH7 7DX  – Click here for google maps

Parking

There are limited spaces on site for people to park and once the spaces have gone we have to shut the car park.  There are a number of roads that allow parking and pay and display car parks nearby.  We ask people to respect the residents of the housing around chaseside and not to park there as the roads are narrow and can restrict residents accessing their homes

If you are coming from the castle lane side of Bournmemouth, you do not need to walk all the way to the main Littledown entrance.  We have an additional gate just off the roundabout and it provides an ideal entry for those people walking from Castle Lane.

Public transport

Numerous bus routes travel down castle lane.  For  further details of public transport links  Click Here

How can we buy Tickets?

You can buy them in advance by visiting our website where you can buy them on line or over the counter at the Littledown.  However, tickets are available on the night.  If you buy them in advance you will be able to access the event quicker via the fast track ticket entry queue.  PLEASE NOTE we can only accept cash on the gate – we do not have credit card facilities.

 What happens if it rains?

The firework has never been cancelled in the last 20 years.  We are lucky in Bournemouth that we have better weather than the rest of the country.  Plus we have some great indoor facilities for you to use if raining.  Wrap up warm and enjoy the night!!!

Where can we park?

The Littledown has limited amounts of parking spaces, however there are a number of car parks in the area.  Parking on the road is difficult around the Littledown site and please be respectful of our neighbours, however there is road parking to the Castlepoint side of the Cooper Dean roundabout.  Best bet though is to walk or use public transport.

What is wheelchair access like?

The site is mainly held on the fields although if you follow the path to the kids play area on the Littledown site, there is a good area for people in wheelchairs to watch the event

Can I bring sparklers on to the site?

No we ask people not to as the fields are used for junior football and the metal sparklers could cause injuries.

What is included in the ticket price?

A valid ticket will give you entry to the site for all three displays.  Additionally there is some free entertainment in the main hall although some of the activities do incur charges.  The have a go Sports on the astro turf pitches are all free activities.  The fun fair is a pay as you go area and your ticket does not include free rides on the fun fair.  Similarly the food outlets are pay as you go

Can pets be brought on to the site?

Under no circumstances no.  Pets should be kept at home.

Can I drop my kids off at the event?

No.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.  It will not be possible for children to enter the site without a responsible adult.

Can I bring food and alcohol on to the site

We will not stop you bringing in food, but we will not allow alcohol on to the site.  There are many good food outlets and there is a licensed bar on site too.
